So far so good - both times it rained we boarded a train for a longish journey. This time we are leaving Kanazawa for Kyoto where we'll be staying for the next 5 nights.
Every train station except the very small ones has some kind of French bakery so we can pick up all kinds of wonderful baked goods for the journey - croissants, baguettes, raisin buns, chocolate chip scones, cinnamon buns... You have to be careful what you choose as sometimes beans and bean paste can sneak in there for a little surprised.
