We wandered round the many temples in Arashiyama and walked the lovely bamboo path. I thought the bamboo grove covered a lot bigger area but it was only a short walk through.
Back in Kyoto we headed up to the stunning golden pavilion - late afternoon is a perfect time to visit as the sun reflects off the gold leaf.
