We headed north east on the train to Toyama and got a local stopper to Tateyama at the foot of the mountains. The scenery is amazing and it is all still green at this point.
From there you take a cable towed funicular and then a bus through a snow corridor to Murodo, the highest point of the route. The snow walls are taller than the bus!
We had a wander round the frozen lake in the snow and a little walk through the trees at the top of the cable car. Cheryl gained a few grazes and bruises from tripping over those pesky tree roots. Nothing that a beer later won't sort out...
